I remember rushing to my room, firing up my machine and loading this game for the very first time.
My friend and I had fell in love with DOOM and when Duke Nukem reached our attention, we were both excited. Some said it was a poor man’s Doom, but I would have to disagree. I mean I LOVED DOOM, but I loved Duke Nukem too, just for different reasons.
The game brought a little fun to the first-person shoot ’em up. The comedy lines, the cheesy, misogynist character, hell, even the way you got to kill some of the creatures sometimes.
I also loved all of the movie references splattered throughout the games.
To quote the main man himself “No one steals our chicks… and lives!”
ANYWAY, that brings me to this ENTIRELY awesome Duke Nukem tee design…Nukem Gym from Busted Tees. It’s so damn pretty I could cry.
