You’re a weapon. You can regenerate and heal from ANY wound…but you’re also a bit a mental. You’re a mercenary who’s morals are…questionable. No wait, they’re not. You kill someone really powerful and get a huge bounty for your troubles.
What do you do now? Quit the killing game and spend the rest of your life white water rafting? Hell no. You build yourself a bat cave and go fight crime. It’s the obvious choice (for someone who’s a bit mental).
But wait. You’re costume guy’s out of town, but you don’t want to wait. Crime is OUT THERE right now, having it’s way with the city.
