If you’re wondering exactly how and why this Bat-spray Batman tee came about, then you’re about to be educated good and proper.
You remember when the legendary Adam West portrayed Batman in the 60’s?
You remember the awesome Batman movie that came from that series in 1966?
If you haven’t seen it, go watch it.
It’s hilarious.
In a scene from the movie, Batman gets caught up with a shark (don’t ask) and must fend the beast off the only way he knows how…with Shark Repellent Bat-Spray.
I’m not making this up, honestly.
It was trap devised by the nefarious Penguin (portrayed by Rocky actor Burgess Meredith) and after Batman’s escape, justified his failure to deal with Batman with the classic lines:
The Riddler: You and your trained, exploding shark!
The Penguin: How was I to know they’d have a can of shark-repellent Batspray handy?
